Crystal 7 and Visual Basic 6.....HELP

I'm new to Visual Basic, but have been using Crystal for a while now. Basically what I'm trying to do is get Visual Basic to run a Crystal report that I imported. When I try to run the Visual Basic project it goes through all the proper motions but as soon as it tries to find the database it tells me that the server has not been opened. I know that there is probably a simple answer to this, I need to open the server and the database, but after trying a few dozen different things, I've hit a road block.

If anyone can offer up a suggestion as to how to get the database to open, it would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of database are you using? I know how to get this to work with Access, but not w/ SQL I'm having the same problem w/ connecting to a SQL 7 Database...
