I have a number of Reports created in Crystal 7 that connect to a Lotus Notes database using the Native driver.
There is now a requirement to upgrade to Crystal 10. I have installed the Crystal 10 and the Lotus Client on a new machine, checking all the set-up in the only Crystal document I can find (CR9_lotusdomino.pdf) has been carried out. However, when I connect to exactly the same database as I do for CR7, I return no data.
Carrying out further tests using the Lotus Notes admin utility. It appears that my user is logging on in CR7 and then accessing the required database, but when I do the same for v10 it states that I log-on but doesn't mention that I am accessing a database.
I have checked on my new machine if I can access the Lotus Notes server and the database in particular. I can even access the data using ODBC, but not the Native Driver.
Does anyone have any ideas? or Know of a limit in Crystal 10 using the Lotus Notes Native Driver.
Of course I can convert to an ODBC connection, but because the Native driver and ODBC driver work differently with regard to Strings and Memo's I will need to re-write the reports. Would rather not do that...
Thanks...
