Reading the above link v.quickly, people are reporting problems with other pieces of software after cryptserv has been removed. Also, that cryptserv is available with a 30 day trial, after which the functionality ceases, again with unpredictable results.
Neil, is this a piece of software that you installed yourself? Is it something you want on your comp? If you don't want it, you should find some removal info there as well.
