CRXI(Rel 2) - ODBC and Parameters issue

I have a Crystal Report (CR XI Release 2) that has a datetime parameter (static). When I create the report (in Crystal) I use and ODBC driver and then run the report by entering a date. I have the Set to Null checkbox unchecked for this parameter. The report runs, I save it (with the Save Data with Report checkbox unchecked). I then put the report in an area where my application will execute it (via a .asp). However, regardless of teh date entered from the application, the date that is actually used to run the report is the date I saved the original report.

If I go back into the report and set the Set to Null checkbox for the parameter to checked and then save and redistribute the report, it runs fine through the application.

I never had this problem with CRXI...it's only seemed to happen with CRXI Release 2.

Any ideas?

Hi,
Since you provided a value for the parameter which is saved with the report( unrelated to whether the DATA is saved), the report does not 'need' to use the supplied value from the application ( depending on how your app calls it)
- setting the parameter value to NULL 'triggers' the use from the app..
This may well have been a version-related change..
