CRX - using a formula in a formula

I am trying to to write a simple formula that uses the result of another formula. For example:

FORMULA 1 - IF {PRTIME.WAGE_AMOUNT}={PRTIME.RATE}then 0 else 8.35
This formula is working

FORMULA 2 - {Result Formula 1} - {PRTIME.RATE}

How do I reference the result from Formula 1?
