People,

I am running Photoshop 6.0; & am about to purchase a Canon Powershot S45.

I'm told I need a plug-in in order to open .CRW (Canon's RAW Format) files.

Where is this available?

Thanks very much,

DesRev1

As I understand it, the plug-in is part of Photoshop CS. I don't think there is one that works for PS6.0. There had been some plugins, but with Canon's newest cameras, I have heard that there is difficulty with the filters even with CS let alone the older versions.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

viol8ion,

Man...I just wish there was a DigiCam out there that offered a lossless format that was worthwhile; & movies with sound.

That's all I'm looking for . . . .TIFF or .RAW (not Canon .RAW, or Nikon .RAW...just .RAW); & simple 16fps MPEG movies w/ sound.

Isn't there anything out there that fits that bill?

Thanks,

DesRev1,

I just purchased a Canon s50 and it comes with canons ZoomBrowser EX You can veiw your RAW pics then convert them as needed. I hope this helps you out.

ravenphoto,

Went with the G5. Very happy with the quality of .CRW to .TIF conversion (& the quality of the photos!)

Thanks,
