I have done an upgrade about five months ago from xc 5.0 to xc 6.1, and also upgraded the voicemail from 4.0 to 4.1 and also my ACD from cinphony I to Cinphony II, but ever since the upgrade we have experienced lots of crosstalk, we have 24 analog lines that are used for our 800 number in rollover and are mainly used for incoming, we have one PRI that is being used for incoming and outgoing for office used, I have got complains that when people used our PRI to dial out they can hear other conversations, and even conversations on our analog incoming lines which are received by the receptionist. Maybe I need to replace the DTI card or maybe there is something wrong with the xc 6.1 software, any input is appreciated.

thank you

We had a customer recently that we installed an MICS,6.1 with a Call Pilot. Just the core MOD. It had the same thing going on. Cross talk on the lines on the first LS/DS card. Replaced the card in the other slot and the problem carried over to the next set of lines. Bad line card. It just had six analog lines into the system. No PRI like you have on your system. You may have a bad LS/DS card.Did you try a reboot on the system?
Dmac,

Check with your Telco.
Crosstalk on PRI lines can me system related or CO related, this is usually caused by two b channels sharing the same time slot on the PRI circuit.
On analog lines it is usually caused by the telco.
Sometimes caused by wet underground pairs.

JR6674:

When you upgraded the SW to XC6.1 did you change out any hardware (New 0x32 cabinet, NVRAM, etc.) or upgrade any of your Telco services (Upgrade to PRI, add loop start lines, etc.)? What I'm curious to find out is if you just changed the PCMIA SW 6.1 card and everything else is the same??

Thanks for all your response, Trabra when the system was upgraded, I had only done software upgrade such as the voicemail,ACD software, and then the KSU. But weeks prior to this upgrade I had switched the trunk module 6 (port 6) to the port on 8 and put trunk module 8 which was on port 8 to port 6, the reason I did this was because I was upgrading for the purpose of adding the 3rd DTI card (off-core DTI card) to the KSU, and since Trunk module 6 had only one LS/DS card which was not in use, I switch the two trunk modules, to be able to use the 3rd DTI card. But I never had the croostalk until I did the software upgrade.

thank you

Dmac, I have restarted the system many times because that seems to be the only thing that seems to stop the crosstalk for a while. I will have the service provider check that PRI line for any errors.

If they don't find anything.

Deprovision some of the channels. I try to do 4-6 at a time so that it doesn't affect too much traffic. Keep good notes. If it is a consistant problem you should know within a day if the problem has seemed to clear. When you turn them back on, just turn on one or two a day to keep your troubleshooting to a minimum.

This is why I really like a T versus the PRI. On a T you can put the channels on a CAP & troubleshoot it quicker.
