OP Exp. 10,000 10,000 10,000
Overhead X X X

Overhead is a number given to me by the accounting department. Say the OH is 180,000. I need to input the 180,000 in the overhhead field, every field is a calulated field BUT OH. In order to rectify this problem, I create a formula to match the month condition, and then, if it meets the condition put a 1 in a field--a counter. Crystal then returns the count of all the "1's" for the month say 32,000. I manually divide 180,000/Count of "1's" for that given month. I get a number like 4.2345678. Next, I manully insert the 4.2345678 into the OH formula so that the total for OH will equal the original number. It should look like this.

Overhead 180,000 <===Final result after calulations

Is there an easier way of inserting 180,000 into a crosstab when every other field is a calulated field?

If not, how do can I divide the 180,000 by the record count for the month? If this wasn't a crosstab, I could have used Crystal Article c2007015. Confusing? Yes it is!

To have complete control of the values you should use a "Manual" cross-tab. More work, but you have more control. See my FAQ on common formulas in the general forum. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
