Good Day,

I am attempting to create a cross tab that shows me the number of times a product is sold each day. I have been trying to achieve this via a two step process. Firstly I create a simple cross tab by showing the follwoing

01/01/13 02/01/13 03/01/13 04/01/13 05/01/13
chips 2 2 3 5 8
kitkat 1 5 5 5 8
coke 3 2 1 4 5

I then need a cross tab that tallys the number of times the 'sum' appears

1 2 3 4 5 8

chips 0 2 1 0 1 1
kitkat 1 0 0 0 3 1
coke 1 1 1 1 1 0

I hope this makes sense.

Danielle

Perhaps I don't understand the question, but you should be able to simply use a Distinct Count on the Product ID.

view, export, burst, email, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Hi,
I am trying to count the number of times the 'sum of the quantity sold' occurs

So if over a period of time there were 6 occasions out of 10 which we sold 50 coffees, the crosstab would show

10 20 30 40 50....qty sold
# of times we sold 'x' coffees 1 1 1 1 6

Kind Regards
Danielle

If you mean 'quantity sold' then try Distinct Count on that field.
If you truly mean 'sum of the quantity sold,' you would need to populate and use a global array variable (probably in the Display String expression of an earlier CrossTab) or, as a less complicated approach, create a Command/View that returns the desired information.

view, export, burst, email, and schedule Crystal Reports.
