Crosstab Subreport crashes Impromptu

I'm cureently working with Crosstab Subreports a lot and I'm finding them very buggy. In particular I'm finding Impromptu crashes a lot, the Error Log is below. Are there known issues that could be causing this? Are there patches available that might solve this?
