I am using Cryatal XI r2. I have a crosstab:
The rows are grouping by State and City with column by each week and a count of people over trailing 12 months. The issue is I want state to populate on each row when exported.

7/6/2008 7/13/2008 7/20/2008
IL Chicago 10 20 5
IL Springfield 12 4 22

Of course it is wanted to be displayed in excel. Any suggestions would be apprecaited.

Thanks

Right CLick on State -> Format Field--> Common -->Display String formula ..

Gridrowcolumnvalue("state") + ' '+currentfieldvalue

Here state you have to use what ever you are using in the crosstab.

You could either concatenate the state with the city, or if you want the state in its own column, you could add state as both your row#1 and your row#3--If it is an inner group/row, it will repeat based on the row#2. Then in Excel you can delete the first column.
