Hi:

I have been running a Crosstab query with no problem. Now all of a sudden, I get a blank column with <> in the field heading in my output. I am totally baffled how this crept in....Is there any explanation?

That column appears when the value you are using as the column header has a BLANK in it. One of the records has not been classified properly if this is not an expected result.
