I am trying to set a parameter into a crosstab query, using a Form Reference.
this works fine with a select type query,
but when I change it to a crosstab query, it give me error message.

"The Microsoft jet database engine does not recognize '[Forms]![monthly LPI stat form]![dm]' as a valid field name or expression.

anyone have a solution?

thanks

You must declare your query parameter data types. Select Query|Parameters and enter
[Forms]![monthly LPI stat form]![dm] Text (or whatever)

Man, I spent so many hours trying to figure this out before I learned the answer to that question. It was the weirdest thing, as I'm sure MJD1 could attest to. Cheer, Duane, for helping someone out of a hole that had me trapped for a long time, not so long ago.
