Hello Tek-tip experts. I'm using Crystal XI with an ACCESS database. I'm currently working on a crosstab that will give me case classification totals for a specific dept. division.

These are my selected fields for the crosstab: Row: "Date Received";Column: Classification; Summary field: count "Classication". The "Select Expert" was used for
the Division.

For clarificaton, classification is represented by "A", "B",
or "C". Whenever a record (case) has more than one person
(Involved Party table)associated with it, the crosstab will be incremented by that number.

Example: Case #100: Classification: "A". This case has 4
"Involved Parties". I need my crosstab to count this as 1 "A" and not 4. This only happens when there is more than one "Involved Party" tied to the single record. Any suggestions? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Sounds like you should be using a distinct count of case as your summary field.

Wow! How blind can I be. Sometimes I don't have enough logic to save my life. Thank you lbass (again) for your expertise. As usual, you've come through again.
