Hi All,
I have a crosstab formatting issue, where the rows are grouped into age group, and month of a year(Jan11, Feb11 etc...), and columns are same as month of a year(Jan11, Feb11 etc..). and amount as summary field.
Now the crosstab is like:
Agegroup in a column||month
what I want to achieve is
Agegroup
Month (in this format)
and I want the group totals on top of the group and grand total at the bottam of the group.
I have tried adding indentation, but the group total and Age group filed are shown in a single row.

Is there any other workaround to achieve this?
Please provide your inputs.

Thanks in advance.

I can't follow this. Instead of describing the crosstab, please identify the fields as they are shown in the crosstab expert in the row area, column area, and summary area. Then show a sample of how the results are displayed with mock data and then show a sample of how you want them to display.

Thanks Lbass for the reply.

Row Area:
Agegroup (<5, 5-10, 10-20, >20)
Date (grouped by month)

Column Area:
Date (grouped by month)

Summary:
Sum(Amount)

the age group and Date group for row are in separate cells, I want them to be in a single cell like:
<5
month
5-10
month etc.

and the group total for agegroup should be on the first row of the group.

and the grand total should be in the last row of the cross tab.

Thanks alot Lbass.

I don't understand the point of adding the month group as both row and column, and your example doesn't seem to recognize that groups are nested. It would appear like this:

Jan Feb Mar
<5 3 2 4
Jan 3
Feb 2
Mar 4
5-10 2 1 3
Jan 2
Feb 1
Mar 3

I don't understand why you would want the age group and Months in a single cell. You could remove grid lines to give that appearance, but why? You can't have group totals on the top and then the grand total at the bottom, so you could suppress the grand total and then add a separate crosstab at the bottom that has no row fields, in order to show the grand total there.

Thanks Lbass.
The user wants it to be exported in the format I explained above to a excel sheet, I have done the same way as you mentioned group total in a separate crosstab.

and adding indent to the age group row.

Thanks again lbass.
