I'm using a crosstab where my column headers are month names, starting with any month they pick as a parameter. My problem is, the crosstab puts the months in order alphabetically (Apr, Aug, Dec...) instead of in proper month order. Any ideas of how to work around this???

You can use "specified order" which is available for Cross-Tabs in later versions of Crystal ("Group Options" button in the Cross-Tab design window) or you can write a formula so that the names are:

1. Jan
2. Feb
3. Mar ... etc.

That will ensure they are in order. Ken Hamady

Thanks Ken,

The group options worked great! I wonder if there's a good way one can get it to put months from different years in separate columns (like not having Oct 99 and Oct 00 in the same column). I don't think I'll need it for this project, but I'll have to play with that and see how it could work.

Thanks again for your help....
Ray
