I am using a crosstab that uses a summary field that totals an event (ie count of Injuries.date) - the total is OK. What I need to do is add another column that uses the total field. For example I want to multiply the total by a number.

I tried creating a formula but do not seem to get access to the total field from the crosstab.

Can someone help me please.

Version 9 of Crystal allows for some clever manipulation of variables in cross-tabs through the use of the new formatting property 'Display String'.

Basically you can create a formula to determine what the display string is for a cell. This enables you to access 'WhilePrintingRecords' variables and might lead to a solution to your problem.

If you do have v9 - try searching the crystal (sorry business objects) web site for 'CROSS-TAB MANUAL' for further information about this technique.

I appreciate that if you are not on v9 this is not much help to you.
