Cross Talk

We have a Norstar with a Flash ACD voice mail system. We are having a intermittent problem with cross talk, the person on the phone downstairs with an outside call can hear the conversation of a person on the phone upstairs thats on an outside call. Also, we are having intermittent disconnected calls.

Can anyone tell me if this is a circuit or system problem?

That type of problem usually points to a problem with your providers circuit. Try to document which lines people are using when the x-talk occurs, then call a vendor or provider to troubleshoot. Your provider will typically tell you the problem is on your equipment, even if it is not.
