we opened a new office in Virginia. They have a T1 circuit for in and outbound traffic. they are complaining that they're getting cross-talk rather frequently when they call out. Their home NPA is 202 and it seems that 202 is both a local and a long distance NPA. They dial 8 to call out. NPA 202 is programed in LD 90 as 202 and as 1202. Do you think this cross-talk is related to the T1 or do you think they are somehow dialing out incorrectly? your help is greatly appreciated. thank you.

I think that the problem could be associated with your T1. I can't think of any BARS routing or user misdialing that could cause cross talk. Option 11? Reboot and check the sysload codes for anything corrupted. Not Opt 11? I'd start by changing out some hardware if I had it spare.

make sure you have a isolated bonded ground for your pbx, make sure no one else has tied into your ground. i had a site that had cross talk on t-1's and found that SWB had grounded there mux to my ground. when we removed there ground crosstalk went away. look in the installation guide for grounding. it tells you how to measure for .05 ohms.
