i read the faq on t1 troubleshooting and didnt see what i was looking for. new t1 point to point between two magix 4.0's. on voice call between the swithchs i hear cross talk. any ideas on where to start for trouble shooting. thx bear 1942

Cross talk on a T1 circuit is usually caused by not using INDIVIDUALLY SHIELDED PAIRED cable and GROUNDING one end of the shield. T1 transmission is not ETHERNET and has different characteristics. So CAT 'whatever' cable is NOT for T1 applications and should not be used for same!
Check all your terminations and make sure there are no wire pieces shorting or touching the terminals or jack contacts and that goes for Telco's also.

Shields do no good if they are not grounded! I could run out of fingers and toes counting the times I have seen shielded cable used, but no one bothered to ground it! Antenna city.....

For more info see Quabbin Wire & Cable's website: they have some very good info on T1 and data related problems. Click on Technology Briefs.

Hope this helps!
