I have a Cross Tab and the Row lists months with the year - what I would like is for it to list the same month of different years under each other - is this possible? It would make it easier to compare the values of each year.

You have strings. What you need are formatted dates.

If you use a date field for your row as Skip suggests, you can format it to appear as you show in your post. To get the order you want, you could have an outer row (#1) field based on month, and then an inner row (#2) field based on year.
