Hi All,

I have a cross tab report with about 15 Rows, 10 columns and 2 summaries as in cross tab expert.

How do i get to display the headers of those 15 rows so that they are in line with the 10 column headers. Right now i can see thew headers for columns but not rows.

Ver CR XI

Thanks

About the best you could do with that many columns is to place the crosstab in the report footer, so that the page header section is available, and suppress the detail section. Then insert a text box in the upper left open area of the crosstab, add a left and top border line, and then insert the desired text for the row labels. Then move the box to the page header section and format the section to "underlay following sections" so that it will align with the crosstab headers.

You can add labels to the crosstab by creating a formula like this:

whilereadingrecords;
"Row label text"

and then making it the first row field, and suppressing the subtotals for this new "row", but this would appear in a column to the left of (not above) the actual row.

Thanks LB,

I tried your suggestion for only one field as in Row (i e 1 column)
and it worked. I did not understand the row label options , pls explain more clearly

Dont know how to do this. If I want row Headers as A, B, C, D...O

Also is this for multiple rows?

Thanks

Just try adding the label of one row in the formula, add it as a row in your crosstab, and then move it so it is the first rowfield in the list. Then notice how it displays. Probably not what you want for multiple fields.

Yes LB I tried, Thats not how I want.

I want A- O row headers on top of each row (15 columns)

Thanks

I know what you want. You'll have to use the text box then.

U mean text box for each column?
In some cases the project name might extend as per the number of chars, how will the text box extend based on data in columns?

Many Thanks

You are manually creating the labels in the text box, so you can add spaces as necessary between text in one box.
