Cross-tab Report Export with Suppressed Subtotals

I am working in Crystal 7.0
I have a cross-tab with two row values (a code and a corresponing description). By Suppressing Subtotal in Crystal everything works fine, but when I export to Excel the subtotals reappear. The Code(and Total)and Description appear on alternating rows. The only work-around I have found is to cut and paste codes to the description row, sort by Code, Delete totals rows, and re-sort. Is there a way to not export subtotals and totals from Crystal?

You might check for patches which might have addressed this, otherwise I don't think there's much help, especially with ver. 7.
