I have a cross-tab report with the column data field a text field containing the numbers 1-7. I want the column header to be Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, etc. 1 = Sun, 2 = Mon, etc. I have a formula field that does that, but it makes the column headers read 1 Sun, 2 Mon etc. I don't want the numbers in there. Can you help? Amanda

Select the column field in the Format Crosstab screen and select Group Options->Customize Group Field Name->Use a Formula as Group Name->X 2 and place something like:

["Sunday", "Monday","Tuesday","Wednesday","Thursday","Friday","Saturday","Sunday"] [val({@dayofweektext})]

This creates an array and subscripts it based on the value of your text field, replace {@dayofweektext} with your field or formula.
