Am new to Crystal and working with 8.5. I have used the Wizard to create a cross tab report. I have 3 summary columns at the bottom of my cross tab - 1 sums the data, 1 counts the data and the last shows the average. I have included all of them in my Summary section. Two of the three summaries - count and average - I do not want to appear in the details section so I have suppressed them. Great! They don't show - just like I wanted them to. The problem? Now the space between records compensates for the missing data and cant make it look like single space data. I have used most conventional ways of shoring up the space and it is not working. Any ideas?

You might want to use two crosstabs, one showing the detail data for the sum, but with the total row suppressed, and a second one with all summaries, with only a column field, no row field. You would place these in separate sections so they won't overlap. You could format the grid lines so that they don't show and try to align them to make them look like one crosstab, but this is a little tricky. I would just display them separately.

Why not try it and see? If you use no row, you will have column labels running across the top, and a total row, with the summarized value per column.

I started using Crystal 10 only a couple of weeks ago and Crystal 8 did not allow it.
BTW, do you know how to add a top left corner to the crosstab and how to set the fields 'Can grow'?
