I have a cross tab in CR 8.5 with two summarized fields, and I want to know how could I use the CurrentFieldValue function if I want to make a comparassion between this 2 fields.

Or What is the GridRowColumnValue function?

Thanks in advance

J,

Those two functions only allow you to conditionally format the field (i.e. add color) depending on the value. If you want to do this, in the cross-tab setup, you will need to define an alias that refers to these fields. You can't compare the result values or use them to calculate percentages etc.

You may have better luck creating a manual subreport. See for how to setup a manual cross tab.

You also may be able to group your subreport based on formulas that already include the comparisons you are looking for. Give more detail.

No problem hencyt.

There seems to be a trend going in tek-tips. Some 'know it alls' like to show others up.

I understand you weren't trying to do this.

Have a good day!
