Hello,
I am currently using Version 2008 and i am trying to take a number field that displays as (1 or 2 or 3 etc...) and add text to it. but when i do that i am getting a result of (text 1.00 or text 2.00 etc...) what i really want to show is (text 1 or text 2 etc...) Does anyone have any thoughts on this.

Convert the number to text first, as in:

"ABC DEF "+totext({table.number},0,"")

The 0 removes the decimals, and the "" removes the thousands divider.

If you need to number as a sort field, you could format it with padded zeros to get the correct sort, adding enough zeros to reflect the largest number of digits in the number, as in:

"ABC DEF "+totext({table.number},"0000")
