I have a cross tab as follows :

Countries Grand Total
Canada USA
East West Tot East West Tot
10 8 18 12 18 30 48

I have a request to break down the grand total so that rather than just displaying the total of 58, it would display the East West Total

Grand Total
East West Tot
22 26 48

I can't find any way to breakdown the grand total column in a cross tab

My cross tab:

Columns:
{Building.Country Name}
{Building.Country Region}

Rows:
{Building.OfficeName}

Summarized Field:
Count of {Building.OfficeSpace}

I have no problem breaking down the cross tab columns into more details by adding a new field to the crosstab expert columns. But don't know if there is any way to break down the Grand Total column into these fields as well. Thanks

What about creating a separate crosstab for the total by regions?

columns: {Building.Country Region}
rows: {Building.OfficeName}
summary field: Count of {Building.OfficeSpace}

Suppress the grand total in first crosstab, and place the grand total crosstab next to it. Would probably need some alignement to make it look as one.

I agree, but you might also want to format the section in the section expert to "Relative Positions" so that the first crosstab cannot overlay the second. You should also just eliminate the row total in the first crosstab (on the customize style tab).

Thanks everyone! I created a second crosstab and I can now get the breakdown... thanks for your assistance!
