Hi folks, just wanted to know if anyone has a BES environment setup running on Vmware and if you can share your pains/successes and any links to some useful articles regarding design and implementation. Thanks

I'm running my BES off VMWare server (the free version). Not a problem at all...just did a standard installation.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Thank you Davetoo. I am reviewing an architectural diagram provided one of my teammates and I had indicated to him that it would be prudent to dedicate a separate NIC to BES traffic as opposed to sharing the NIC with the OS itself. Do you have any additional recommendations/gotchas that I should look out for.

How many BES users? I only have about 25...so it's not an issue in my environment.

Good question.. from what I can see it can be in the 1000s of users and they will also be virtualizing a Domino infrastructure at the sametime

Ouch...yes, definately dedicate a NIC.

Looked around a bit and it seems the prevailing wisdom is around 1000 users per box for a BES running a SQL server.

That's gr8 Davetoo thank you for your input
