cross platform sound problems with attached files

hi, in an effort to compact my director 8 movie i attached a swa file. the movie played fine on the mac but when i tested it via the net on a pc there was no sound. does anyone know why? it's driving me mental. also, the reason i was trying to get everything smaller was that i was getting little jumps in my animation. the client didn't like it so i figured it was a memory problem. now i think that jumps are common throughout the net and my client is really a "pain".
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those jumps in the movie are skipped frames from not having the movie all the way loaded. That's just the way streaming works. You can try to preload enough of it so you don't skip frames. Maybe you can put it back the way it was and build a preloader.
