Hi

We have just installed Quark on our pc, as we wish to move from Mac to Win2000.

Now I have obtained the necessary fonts etc...But when I insert new graphics, and we print out, the graphics are very pixalated.

I have got a help file from the Quark website. UNfortunatley it is not in plain English, as I am not an expert at Quark.

We had all our graphics in .EPS files, The Help file mentions that we should save a .EPS file with a TIFF preview. And then it mentions installing JPEG Import and various other extension. What is the XTensions software and where do we find it?

And will this solve our printing problems?

The XTensions software is simply Quark's way of describing plug-ins. There's a few ways of installing them, but you might be better off going to Utilities > XTensions Manager..., scroll down the list, and if an XTension you need doesn't have a tick beside it, reactivate it and restart Quark. Some XTensions require you to do this twice for some reason. However, it's likely that all the essential XTensions were installed for you when you installed Quark.

As for your images, there are several reasons for that, usually to do with non-Postscript printers. faq260-3087 goes into the subject in detail.
