Ok i have a banner for a web page which is more or less done. However i want to put a cross hatch effect over the top with a gradient. How do you do this??? is there any filters for cross hatching??

Create a rectangle and apply one of the Crosshatch textures to it - there are three to choose from.

You can then apply a gradient fill to the rectangle selecting colours and opacity to suit.

I'm not 100% sure what you're looking to do but if you play about with the two suggestions above I'm sure you can get what you need.
