Cross connect wire for Partner 1

A lot of my installations are small (less than ten stations). A lot of my installations I change out an existing system with an ACS Partner. I have been using left over AT&T cross connect IW (RJ11 or RJ45 connectors on one end, raw on the other end). Two questions, can those be purchased on the internet and can I use two pair cat3 or untwisted two pair IW? Is their a cross over/noise issue using two pair untwisted IW?

Partner system phones are 2-pair, so, 2-pair CAT3 cabling will work perfectly. If 4-pair cabling is used, the WH/BL and WH/GN pair are used (568B).

Expect to hear, "motorboating" with un-twisted jumpers. (Data circuit induction)

thank you dexman. Have you seen the two pair or the four pair cables (that come with the rj45 or Rj11 on one end and raw on the other end) for sale?

WikiTech, I was concerned you would have cross over induction noise.

I bought a bunch of 8P8C to open from Graybar a while ago...and still haven't used them.

If I use EZ-Crimp plugs and crimper, I can make really rock solid cords with CAT3, CAT5E and CAT6 cables (my former employer uses them).

One thing that I like to do is run dedicated jumpers for each extension and POTS line. While it isn't necessary to do it that way, I think that it looks better than splitting up 4-pair cables and crimping directly onto the pairs.
