cross cabling details required

hi,
I am new to cabling stuff. I want to know what cable configuration is needed to setup a LAN using Hub on window 2000. And whats the difference between cross cable connection and direct (perhaps straight) cable connection.


Feel pretty shame for knowing nothing. lol...

As for the cross over v. straight check the FAQs someone has been kind enough to post in there. If you are using a hub you shouldn't need to use cross over.
