Hi Guys,

I have a report which lists a number of records. Two of these fields are called "DateIn" and "DateOut" I need to get a total on the bottom of the report which tells me the number of records that have a entry in the "DateIn" field, and the same for the "DateOut" field.

I can't find a function that would allow me to do this - any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

Steve,

Why doesn't =count([DateIn]) work? I tested briefly on a date field and it ignored null entries.

Tim

Hi Tim,

Sorry for the delay - having one of those days!

The problem is that the report I am running will show all records that the "DateIn" field is today's day and it will also show all records that have the "DateOut" field as todays day.
I need to have a total for all records that came in on todays date, so I actually need to count all records that have a entry on the report in the DateIn field, but I need to specify that it will count all records that have "DateIn" entry as today's date!!!

I can't do this with a query as I also have to display all records that were "DateOut" on the same date!

My overall goal is to show how many records were entered into the database today, and how many were marked as "Out" today on one report
AHHH!!!

Sorry I didn't explain the question clearly!

Thanks,

Steve.
