I want to insert separate pictures of machined parts into a polygon frame shape. The frame shape will be beveled and embossed (red chrome like).
The problem, I want to fill the polygon with the picture of the part. there will be 4 polygons. I thought I could hold down the option key and then I can move the inside layer where I want it to be,The problem is the white fill. I guess the frame should have no fill and the part picture should have a white background, is this correct. Does anyone have any helpful tips on how I can do this.
Thanks

You will want the picture on a transparent background. Best way is to use a layer mask. Layer>Add Layer Mask>Reveal All then paint black everything you dont' want to see. (you can also use this method for the polygon shape)

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Or draw the shape, select the shape, copy the image and use paste into to mask it out - then nudge the image to position inside as desired.
