We are getting the following message when trying to start cron on Openserver 5.0.5Eb :-

# ! cannot start cron; FIFO exists

I have looked on SCO's web site and also here but have not found anything that appears to be related. Has anyone any ideas of where to looked next ?

Regards,

Mark Wilkinson

run
/etc/init.d/cron start
as root....it will remove an existing FIFO and restart cron properly.

Many thanks for the reply. This has got the cron daemon running again.
