Cron Job

All of a sudden one of my cron job is not running.What could be the problem.Till yesterday it was running properly.I checkd the scripts.Everything is ok.But the cron job is not running.


Kindly suggest me

Hi jeyasee,

Pls check the cron process it available or not.it should be active at all time.

# ps -ef|grep cron

root 8778 1 0 Sep 30 - 0:17 /usr/sbin/cron

I checked the cron deamon is running.But any job is running.

Can only really suggest a reboot to see whether this sorts cron out. Is this possible? HTH.
 
Before rebooting, just try stopping and starting cron. Look in your startup scripts /etc/rc2.d for the S**cron entry.
 
Trunix is quite correct. You may have to issue an /etc/rc2.d/Snncron stop and and an /etc/rc2.d/Snncron start to get it to work, however. Good luck.
