Hi

How can we set the environment for the cron jobs?

The cron daemon spawns a shell (in which the cron job executes) with the same user permissions as the one who made the cron entries but doesn't take his environment settings provided in the .profile.

Set the required variables within the script you are calling, or issue a . /.profile as part of the script. Note that the space between . and / is important. HTH.
