CRM log file location?

I am getting a generic error in the client that says an error occurred see the system admin. It does not have any specific details though.

Where is the error log file for CRM located?

You need to document the steps you were following to get this message. Foe example the error may be related to a specific record. Once the admin has this information he could if necessary turn on trace logging to capture more information.
