My 2nd website. Not yet ready or polished. If you think somthing sucks, don't hold back. Is it too slow or "heavy".

The site is for a local night club with a 70's muscle car theme.

Thanks.

fizzak, interesting site. Here are my comments, viewed in IE6, 1024*768 resolution.

1) Like the color schema, like the navigational menu, like the logo.

2) The image on the page (with the bg music), nice image, but you might want to rethink that idea. Typically the main page is for upcoming news, or 'what this site is about' blurbs, general information, etc. Also, i'm not a fan of music on websites, turns me off. I understand its a website for a club, and the music might play with the motif, but might want to kill the music idea.

3) I'm not keen on using frames, makes things difficult to maintain and debug. Plus if a user wanted to bookmark a page they might be able to cause it's inside a frame. Just use tables, or perhaps <div> tags.

4) The bg on the main frame (with the club pic) seems off from the other color schema. The other colors look bright and flashy, almost trendy which soots the site, but the dark green makes it look weak. Use the same idea but choose a brighter color. I would go with the 'fire&quot; look you have as the banner, that seems like something that might work on a bachground.

That's it for now, since the rest of the site doesn't have any content.

Hope this helps.

I'm a surfer not a programmer.

I don't like the dark green background either and I do like the idea of a &quot;very soft&quot; flame bg.

How would the SHAKERS logo look in the same plum crazy color of the GTO?

Day of week font looks good.

Makes me want to party and I'm old.

using cable still took about 15 - 20 seconds to load, pretty graphic intensave. dial up users are going to have one heck of a time surfing your site.

Nice music but you might want to provide a way to turn it off for folks that don't want to listen to it.

Loaded a little too slow on our T-1, dialups aren't going to wait on it.

I liked the mouseover animations. How about triggering a wav file of a car revving it's engine when you mouseover the funky car in the header?

Hmm, primary audience is dialup. I guess i'll have to slim it up a bit. Whole site weighs in at 117kb minus the audio file. It's been so long since I've used dialup I didn't think this would be too heavy.
I've had trouble figuring out what to use as the bg. The flame idea is great but I fear it will weigh the site down even more.

fizzak, not necessarily, the flame bg might help enhance the car theme the club has going. All you'd have to do is use less opacity on the flames, so that it appears almost transparent, or really really light. Just open the image in PS and for the layers opacity bring it down to 80% or so, and see how that reflects on the site.

As for the audio thing, i'd say kill it. Might sound like a cool idea but its not, audio slips on websites were so 1990's (lol), only times audio clips might be a good idea id if its a flash site.

As for the heavy content, try reducing the kilobytes of the images, that sometimes helps.

Audio? What audio? I have my amp turned off, which means I had to wait for the whole site to load, sound file and all. To echo other opinions, remove the audio, it is unnecessary.
Now, did I mis-read the intro post, or is this site to advertise a night club? If so, and it were my site, I'd try to emphasize the presence of a sound system - cartoon style pictures of huge speaker stacks right and left with semi-transparent images of scantily clad wenches writhing to the beat in the centre......
Just an idea, you understand!

Regards, Andy.
