I am trying to find a way for our Windows 2000 systems to automatically check for critical updats (aka hot fixes). The catch is that our users do NOT have admin rights. I have looked at both the Automatic Updates in the control panel and tried setting up a scheduled task. In both cases I thought that I was telling the task to "RUN AS" with an appropriate administrator account.

However, when a non administrator logs into the system neither method checks for updates.

Any ideas?
