Ive created a project plan in Project 2000 (network chart), and I have milestones in it but the critical path will only start from the last milestone, is this it now, or is there a setting where this can be changed so the critical path can go through the entire network chart, not just from the last milestone?

critical path starts from last milestone

I get the impression there is more that we aren't seeing with this issue. If you look at the Network diagram, there should be a red highlighted Critical Path throughout the plan. If not, then your tasks may be scheduled such that they all have some slack in them. You can create a table display to look at the early and late start/end dates and see for yourself.
