Critical Alarm - NuPoint RNA

Hi,

We started getting NuPoint alarms this afternoon. Not sure what to do. We have contacted our vendor but wondering how I can be proactive. Port 10, 11, and 12 are unhappy :/

Nupoint raised an alarm with Alarm_Id: 447
Severity: critical
Alarm Category: PORT RNA
Alarm Location: 10
Alarm Description: Port 10 Ring-No-Answer Alarm Last Time: 2012-04-16 13:55:11 EDT

Talked to a tech.

He killed the PIDs for MitaiMonitor. That worked for one channel but not the other two.

had to restart npm and all was good.

You might want to have your dealer investigate if there is an upgrade to the software of the Nupoint availble to you if the issue returns. There were some bugs in certain loads re ports going OOS.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

This happens a couple of times a year so not that worried. Our vendor upgraded Nupoint and the 3300 in Feb. We keep an eye open just in case.
