I am preparing a report based on a query. I would like the user to enter the invoice number so I have [Enter invoice number] in the criteria for that field. There are four digits in the invoice number, however some have extensions such as "####.1" and I would like to include them in the report. Is there a wildcard character or something that I can add to my criteria to include them in the series?

Thank you!

Try like "" & [Enter invoice number] & "*"

in your criteria.

That is if you're with Access 2000, the wildcard character is something else in access 97, but I can't remember what...

Are you sure? Seems that I remember always using the *, even in 97.

Course, that was eons ago...

No, not sure, but I've read something about this somewhere not so long ago...
I'll check that tomorrow, I'm not at wor today...

Have a nice day...

but you use % when using other SQL flavors! (TSQL and others)

That's it... I there was a difference, but I couldn't remember where...

Thanks Leslie...
