Has anyone come across a credit card approval facility that they have successfully integrated into their access application?

Thank you,
Lori

Thanks Duane.

I am looking for a service which would authorize the $ amount along with card #. Something like Moneris (this may be Canadian eh);-). I can get the info out in whatever format is required or link right to their system, just looking for a good service that someone has used for this sort of thing application.

Best,

Lori

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but, American Express uses an Access mde for credit card approvals.
Go to the American Express web site and look for Purchase Express.

It's a while since I was involved with this so some of the rules may have changed.

Most companies that do credit card approval have an elaborate set of conditions that you must meet before you are allowed to connect to their system. Paypal does have some options but you would need to come up to speed on Java, HTML or SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) to effectively integrate with them. Some info on Paypal is here

The large providers like Monaris require that you satisfy an extensive checklist of software certification before you can connect to their system. The last such certification in which I was involved took about 3 months to get every detail worked out and approved. That involved some off-the-wall proprietary devices that would not be a factor in more conventional scenarios.

The short answer is that, given the obvious opportunities for fraud and theft in placing a charge on a credit card, these companies require that a lot of safeguards be in place before permitting anyone to do so. For that reason, their controls are rather stringent and there's no real possibility that you can just send a credit card number and amount to them and expect to get money deposited in your account.

google this
Set client = CreateObject("PFProCOMControl.PFProCOMControl.1")
