'Creation feature not enabled' Error

I am trying to run the Visual C++ example distributed with Crystal Reports 9 (ProSalaries). When I press the 'Show Report' button, a message box is displayed with the 'Creation feature not enabled' message. I get the same message when I try to run the same example for Visual Basic.

I am new to COM programming and Crystal Reports so any help would be appreciated.

I think I may have posted in the wrong area. I'm going to reports in the 'Integrate' area.
