Hi everybody!
Beforehand thanks for your help.
My problem is the problem that most of MD´s users having.
I would like to know how create/generate my start disk. I mean, as all we know, Ericsson let us add a lim for ourselves after they have generated the eleventh, but why we can´t make the same, for instance, in the number seventh
If somebody knows how do it, please don´t heasitate in telling us.
Are the units of programs arranging in any particular way? What we need to generate it? How do it?

I´m looking forward hearing from you, with an answer.
THANKS

Hi,
You should do as follows:
1 In order to protec now INL, you can enter FIDII:pATH=/SYSN/USR2/SES/DR/INL; and
FICPI:SPATH=/SYSN/USR1/SES/DR/INL, COOP=DIR, PATH=/SYSN/USR2/SES/DR/INL;
2 Delete now INL by
FIDIE:pATH=/SYSN/USR1/SES/DR/INL,OPT=ALL;
3 Create/generate new INL by DUSII.
4 Connect the PCM links toward the new LIM and power up.
5 Transmit new LIM' S LIM disposition table and LAPUT.
6 Init PCM link by GILII and SFLII/BLLIE.
7 Restore INL by FICPI:SPATH=/SYSN/USR2/SES/DR/INL, COOP=DIR, PATH=/SYSN/USR1/SES/DR/INL;
8 If some new program unit is needed, you can do LAPUL from INL.

WARNING!!!
8 If some new program unit is needed, you can do LAPUL from INL.

Dont do just do a LAPUL for common function progams.
AUM2-AUM10
AOM2-AOM10
can't be added to an existing system in a lim.
( this is the most common error thats done when adding lims)

When adding a lim ALWAYS use the Ericson Xlim file
for the BC version.

Thanks to everybody for your help, but I don´t get a clear idea if I can generate/add ,for instance, the lim fourth with the Xlim disp., without problems with the program units. Somebody could tell me about this.
Thanks very much

It's a difference adding ONE lim this way and adding TWENTY lims this way .
The system don't suffer from it.
The basics it that you have to start with at least a 3Lim's system for adding lims.
Only difference e/// makes is where the common function
programs is placed .
And for 5Lims and up they are starting adding more
AUM/AOM units to expand the au/ao capacity .
One au/aom instance hold 2000 codes.
So in a startup at 3Lims it gives you 4000 codes.
(theese units can't be added)

Study the common units distribution ,and you
will see how they are placed.
There is always max two, the reasnon they do this
is to share the load for common signal loads
between lims.
Going from 3Lim to four or five or six with the Xlim is no prob.
The Xlim file is made to load all neccesary ACS/SES programs to a non cfunc lim and can be used for any lim number you wan't to add .
But going from 3lim to 20Lim this way ,could mean
that a redisribution of the common units has to
be done.
(It's tricky to alter the cfunc units ,but possible)
The AU/AO is just to expand the total amount of codes.
But 4000 should be enough a long way.

As far as I am concerned, you (SYAR2003) have helped me a lot to understanding the matter, but I can notice that you have a huge acknwolegde in the issue.As you tell me it´s tricky but possible, could you guide/help me in doing it?

I would like to give you thanks again.
I´m looking forward to hearing from you again.

THANKS

By all means just post.
If you are only adding one lim say
from 6 to 7 there is no need for rearanging
the common programs.
Just use the normal procedure for adding a lim
using the Xlim limdisp file.
Edit the first line
CNLDI:LIM=XX,GSMULT=Y-YY,UNIT=ALR&BUP&DCP&DRDR&DRLR&ECR&EXS&FIP;
to match your needs for lim number and gsmult.

That´s right, but if I want to add up to eleventh, only using Xlim, from the third ones???????????
thanks again

How many lims and whats their numbering right now.
And what is the plan for adding(lim numbers).

And i assume it's BC11.

It is BC9, but I can try any version, I mean BC10,BC11,BC12. Always I begin with 3 lims in a right
order, I´ll try up to 16 lims.Of course I would like to try with Xlim disp.
What problems we are going to find, and how solve them.
THANKS AGAIN

Are you doing this for fun & experience
or a live situstion.
You shold always start with as many as you
have the possibility to connect to the GS.

As for BC9 it's a little more shitty.
Here you have the splitted dem
DEMA-DEMZ to place and the first can't be in a i/o lim .
So if it's to be 16 lims total i would prefer
to start with more than three.
This because this splitted common programs
cant be added later.
