Creating ZIP Files

Hiya!

Does anybody have any clue on how to create zip files from a program without using the System("zip blah") command?

For instance, I am just trying to zip a folder, is there some quick command that will come to my rescue? (I know there never is, but I thought I'd ask )

I think you should download from somewhere an OpenSource zipping program, for example gzip or tar and change it as you whish
