Creating Word document without Word

Anyone know if there is a component that can be used in VBA or VB to create Word documents on a server without Word actually being installed on the server?

You may be able to take advantage of some conversion dll that another application uses to convert to Word format. Another approach would be to write as Rich Text Format (RTF), which is text with formatting codes that Word reads just fine.

Wordpad can save word 6.0 format too. It's part of the default installation for all flavours of Windows.
